My main goal for the last few weeks has been to weed out the bulk of the photos in my collection. This is in large part due to the fact that I’m tired of sifting through hundreds of photos to find something interesting enough to spend time processing. I’ve done this a couple of times since we began this blog, but I’ve neglected it for a couple of years now. I became painfully aware of this fact when I noticed I was pushing 50,000 photos already… yikes. No wonder I had been putting this off. At any rate, I’m charging through like a rock star, deleting most of them and it feels good. I’ve been in need of a fresh start.
As I was sifting through, I stumbled upon this photo that I had forgotten about. What I hadn’t forgotten was how taken I was with the light in this scene. It’s the kind of light that only fall brings. The sun was low in the sky, casting a warm, hazy glow across the vibrant hues of this Dia de los Muertos vignette bringing life to the party.
