There’s nothing quite so beautiful as a cloudy sunrise at the Disneyland Resort, or in this case, standing in front of the Eureka Gold & Timber mill. It’s an incredible feeling to be inside the resort as the sun starts to make its way over the horizon; a fresh start to a new day. During the summer it’s especially nice with the chill of the morning settling you in for a warm day. Unfortunately for us, this means getting up at 4:00am so we can make it to Disneyland in time. This drive is pretty rough after a while. It makes it hard to get up that early for park opening then close down the park and drive home, hoping to get in bed before 4:00am. We did that almost every time when we first started, but not so much anymore. Maybe we’re getting older or perhaps just wiser; I prefer wiser. That makes mornings a rare occurrence for us and cloudy mornings evening more rare. Perhaps I’m speaking from deprivation, but this time of day is amazing to me and I can’t seem to get enough of it.
