New Orleans Square at Christmastime

New Orleans Square at Christmastime is one of my favorite places to be; not that that’s any surprise. All the Christmas lights strung across the wrought iron bring everything to life at night. This will be the first year that the Court of Angels is open solely to members of Club 33 during the holidays and I’m still getting used to the idea that we can no longer wander inside. I was particularly fond of the Christmas tree in there with the bright teals and purples and feathers. Nonetheless, I’m looking forward to spending a fair amount of time in the streets of New Orleans Square this season.

You may have noticed that this photo isn’t recent by the wreath hanging overhead. I found this in my files from the very first Christmas we spent at Disneyland taking photos. It was taken on December 5, 2010 to be exact. It’s funny how easily every moment from that first year comes flooding back to me when I find a photo like this one. Things have been a bit of a blur the last few years and a lot of things have been rough along the way, but these photos remind me why I do this.
