Whispers of Winter at Valley View

It feels great to be back and also a little weird at the same time; almost foreign. Sometimes you just need a break and it was really refreshing to be able to take a step back for a while.

As Matthew mentioned in a previous post, we’ve been spending as much time as we can in National Parks and it’s been amazing and very restorative. We spent some time in Yosemite last Fall, New Year’s Eve at the Grand Canyon, my birthday in the Eastern Sierras and now we’re heading back to Yosemite this weekend for Matthew’s birthday. We’ve been wanting to shoot Horsetail Fall for years now, but there really hasn’t been a great time with the drought. We knew it was going to be good as soon as we heard the first news of early snow and planned this trip shortly after. We leave in a couple of days and I can’t wait to do some hiking and escape for a few days. I look forward to sharing photos from our adventure!

This is a photo of Valley View that I took during our trip to Yosemite last fall.
