Some lights never fade out. The light in Walt’s apartment above the Disneyland Fire Department on Main Street is one of them. I love that Disneyland leaves this light on in paying homage to Walt Disney and I love its symbolism. It reminds me that people can have a lasting impact on the world. They can leave a legacy to inspire others. It reminds me that I can be one of those people. I am also reminded of Jesus; that He is risen and He is a light that cannot be hidden, the legacy He has left on my life. Happy Easter.
Knot a Hidden Mickey
I bet that title really roped you in. If not I don’t blame you. This is a hidden Mickey picture after all, not a Jungle Cruise joke. Don’t you love finding new hidden Mickey’s hiding around the park? I had never seen this one and was so excited I decided to share it with all of you!
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
Welcome to our Disneyland Resort photography website, you lucky people you. We’re here with a new picture everyday, for you to come and view. We like to be seen and we love to be shared with your friends! So make sure to invite them to come along and celebrate the magic of Disneyland with us. We’ll keep the celebrating beneath “the gods have been angered” level. Maybe… Aloha!
Sleeping Beauty Castle Sunset
It’s hard to express how excited we get when we see beautiful clouds anywhere near Sleeping Beauty Castle. They play so well to the feeling of fantasy and really help you to see things with a different perspective. When I saw the way the clouds lined up behind the castle, I hurried down Main Street, dodging my way through the crowd. I made it to Central Plaza and wasn’t finding the shot I wanted. I wandered a little farther, past the Partners Statue, to where they rope off benches for fireworks and it hit me. I was in my own world and it seemed as though time did not exist. It wasn’t until a cast member walked up and joked with me that this shot would cost me $50 that I left my world of fantasy to enter back into reality. I laughed and told him I would need to write him a check, then made my way back to Michaela and Kevin, contented.
The World of Yesterday, Tomorrow, and Fantasy
I enjoy writing almost as much as I enjoy taking pictures. It’s not often that I find myself at a loss for things to say. Yet it somehow seems impossible to convey with words what this image means and represents to me. This is my happy place.
Reflecting Fantasyland
I love Fantasyland but sometimes I avoid going. It’s so crowded so often, it can be difficult to take your time to enjoy it. At the same time, I would say that many of the most magical things take place there, in the heart of Disneyland. When you walk across the drawbridge, under the castle gate, and enter a world of fantasy, you are met with the choice of which ride you wish to go on. Rides based on Disney classics that we all seem to have grown up on. You don’t have to dream about Neverland, you can fly there. You don’t have any strings to hold you down either. There are magic feathers and poison apples that all make for a wild ride. The very best thing about it though is seeing children and parents taking part in amusement together, having fun and making memories.
