This is a great spot in the Golden State area at California Adventure. It’s so dynamic with the textures of stone, wood, grass, and the way water carries rafts of soaked passengers through, beneath the trees and a grizzly peak. They even have those binocular stands set up to take in the view. I prefer looking through the viewfinder of my camera.
A Matterhorn Morning
The Matterhorn Bobsleds have been around for a while, but they are still one of the best rides around. There are so many facets to this mountain that make it the “E” Ticket attraction that it is. My favorite part of the Matterhorn is charging past the waterfalls. I know they are coming but I always find them catching me by surprise.
Blue Bayou Lobby
The Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orleans Square is a seriously delicious place for a meal at Disneyland. While other restaurants around the park also feature intricate theming, the Blue Bayou offers an ambiance on par with its culinary caterings. We were walking past late one night, on our way out of New Orleans Square, when we noticed that the doors were still open and the lobby empty. We asked a cast member if we could step inside and take some pictures and to our delight were approved.
Paradise Bay Sunset
This is one of my favorite spots at the Disneyland Resort. I could spend hours here, taking it all in. I love watching Mickey’s Fun Wheel make its rotations and Screamin’ race its way through its circuit. Screams and laughter fill the air as people tour the midway and experience what the Pier has to offer. No wonder they call it Paradise.
End of the Line at ElecTRONica
It’s not very easy dancing with a tripod but I couldn’t help it. ElecTRONica is definitely a lot of fun and I have to admit that I much prefer it to Glow Fest. Flynn’s Arcade is amazing and the way Disney went all out to theme this party is awesome. It’s definitely a multifaceted experience that is well worth the time.
Winnie the Pooh & Christmas Too
I don’t know if the decorating team at Disneyland meant to get a ribbon on Tigger’s head the way they did, but it’s perfect. What better gift than a Tigger? Tiggers are wonderful things. If you find yourself getting all caught up in the rush this season can bring, you’re not alone. It can certainly take a toll, until you find yourself saying “Oh bother.” But don’t lose sight of the fact that this is a time for love, for family, for peace and joy, and even for fun, fun, fun, fun, fun!
